PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said improvement and transparency in education is the need of the hour.
While giving directives to the Vice Chancellor of Gomal University, D.I Khan Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said “Research based education should be promoted in order to promote effective education system”. These views were expressed by Khyber Pakhtunkwha governor in a meeting with the vice chancellor of Gomal University D.I Khan, Dr. Muhammad Sarwar here at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Thursday.
University Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Bakhtiar Khan was also present on the occasion. Gomal University Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Sarwar apprised the governor briefly on the activities of the university. He also highlighted some of the problems and grievances which the university is being facing.
The governor listened to their grievances patiently and assured resolving their problems including shortage of administrative and teaching staff according to rules and regulations.
